A Shark's skin is made up of small minuet rectangular scales that have very small bristles and pines on them. these are called "placiod scales" or as the scientists calls them " Dermal denticles" They also look like small tooth like shaped if you got them under a microscope. they are shaped with a curved edge but it has grooves in . this makes the shark's skin hard like armour.

Sharks dont have skin instead they have small denticles which act like skin but are tough and are like wearing a plate of armour.
A shark's skin is covered in tiny tooth-like scales called dermal denticles. These denticles help reduce drag in the water and improve the shark's swimming efficiency. The unique structure of the denticles also provides protection against parasites and abrasions.
