Mosquito Wasps eat mosquitoes, it's actually quite simple to figure out.

But they do also eat smaller insects, closer to the size of a mosquito, most are winged creatures. They are not harmful to pets, unless the pet is a miniscule insect, or to humans, they don't drink blood, and no a mosquito wasp isn't a may fly, a may fly has two wings, an average long size, as far as insects go, and 3 prongs, look like very thin string, and cannot hurt any thing, have four legs, front 2 legs are like small grasshoper prongs. Hope I helped more than you hoped for!

Only female mosquitoes take blood meals. Males never do. Males eat plant materials such as nectar. Females do as well. Females are supposed to take blood meals only at a certain point in their lifecycle, when they are a few days away from laying their eggs (and the blood provides iron for the eggs.)
