Hi Can you tell me when a male chihuahua is ready to breed? I have a female and a male chihuahua and he is trying to hump her. Please answer as soon as possible. Thank you Freda
if their full grown they are ready.
When a duck is ready to breed, I find it will get "flirty" around other ducks. They stay very close and bob their heads in a slow or very fast way, and nuzzle the other ducks with their beaks. If you have male and female ducks, you don't really have to know, they will know themselves and breed when they are ready.
Males have a purple to dark blue colored cere (nose) and females have a white to light pink to brown (when ready to breed) cere.
She will clearly show you when she is ready and in heat.
In the wild, that smell would tell the male dogs/wolves that the female was ready to breed. Unfortunately, in a contained area (such as your house) that smell becomes a lot stronger.
Signs that a female dog is ready to accept a male for breeding include increased friendliness, a change in behavior such as restlessness or clinging to the male, a decrease in aggression towards the male, and a flagging tail position when the male is present. It is important to consult with a veterinarian or professional breeder for guidance on the optimal timing for breeding.
Female squabs don't exist, they are a dying breed sadly.
Its actually quite difficult to tell. The male may have a small hump on his head, and a different shaped anal area. The best way to tell is by watching a pair breed; the male will be the one not laying the eggs.
They may be male and female. The male be trying to tell the female that he is ready to spawn!!
Males are colorful, females are less colorful
There is very little sexual dimorphism between male and female goldfish. Male goldfish are generally more slender, because they lack ovaries. Female goldfish may have swollen abdomens. Unless you are a professional, it is not advised to breed goldfish at home, because they cannot lay their eggs due to selective breeding. The eggs must be squeezed out of the female, when they are ready.
