Depends on the County...each has different laws...and some...depending on circumstances, are not as aggressive to tax sale the property as others. If you can't pay, you really should speak with them.

Different places can have various restrictions when it comes to foreclosure. However, in Florida you can miss 3 payments and then the foreclosure will start.

Answer You should have talked to a bank consellor before re-financing your home to see if you could afford it. The fact that this apparently didin't happen,leaves you two things you can do. Throw yourself at the mercy of the bank and good luck to you, or sell the home as fast as you can before the band forecloses on your mortage.
