There are a number of ways to describe a bank. Banks are in buildings, and those buildings are constructed of certain materials, brick, concrete, glass and steel, and so forth. They have floors that have a certain type of flooring, wooden, tile, possibly marble, and so forth. They have a size and shape, they may be square or elongated; the ceilings have a certain height, there is a certain type of lighting, possibly fluorescent. They have windows, large or small, numerous or few. They have customer services counters, which have a surface finished in some material, much like kitchen counter tops; it could be stone, or wood, etc. And that's just the building. Banks can also be described in terms of the service they offer, friendly or unfriendly, the personnel who work there, and the clothing those personnel wear. Banks can be busy or perhaps neglected and unpopular. They offer certain interest rates. They have specific hours of business. Some are open on Saturdays. Some are not. Those are some descriptions of banks.
