Paris. After Paris talks to Capulet, he gets Mrs. Capulet to break the news to Juliet. Clearly she and Juliet have not previously discussed the question of marriage (she is only thirteen) when she says, "How stands your disposition to be married" and Juliet replies, "It is an honour that I dream not of." Mrs. C then tells her that Paris is interested in marrying her.
The first mention of fighting in "Romeo and Juliet" is in the opening scene when servants from the Montague and Capulet households engage in a physical brawl in the streets of Verona. This sets the stage for the ongoing feud between the two families that drives much of the conflict in the play.
In Act III, Scene 1, Mercutio was the first one to mention fighting. Eventually, Tybalt stabs Mercutio.
The first character to mention the idea of marriage in "Romeo and Juliet" is Lady Capulet, who discusses the prospect of Juliet marrying Paris with her daughter.
