Alto Saxaphone
Steady Eddie gives Bud a saxophone. The saxophone has been used but is in good shape from repairs they gave it. They let Bud know that he must polish it himself.

"Sleepy LaBone" is the band name Herman E. Calloway's band gave Bud.
it is his grandfathers band
In chapter 18 of "Bud, Not Buddy," Bud arrives at the library and meets Ms. Thomas, a kind librarian who helps him find more information about his father. He discovers a flyer for Herman E. Calloway and his jazz band, which excites him as he believes Herman may be his father. Bud decides to sneak out of the library at night to find Herman.
Bud started crying in chapter 14 of "Bud, Not Buddy" because he was overwhelmed with emotions. He had been through a lot of challenges and surprises on his journey to find his father, and he finally found a sense of belonging and love with the band. Bud's tears were a mix of relief, joy, and release after all he had been through.
Grace gives Bud a flying toy airplane as a gift in the book "Bud, Not Buddy." This gift symbolizes freedom and hope for the future, as it encourages Bud to believe in his dreams and aspire to soar to great heights.
Bud Not Buddy is a children's chapter book.
nothing
I do believe it is Chapter 17. (when Herman thinks Bud's rocks are his, Bud is forced to say his mother's name, and then Jimmy says Herman could possibly be Bud's grandfather.)
