The mood of "The Lost The Dark Ground" can be described as eerie, mysterious, and unsettling. The story creates a sense of tension and foreboding through its atmospheric descriptions and suspenseful plot developments.
In the lost, Robert is traveling with his mother and father and his sister,Emma. He dreamt that he was falling from the sky. After having a long argument with Emma, about reality and photographs, Robert goes into the washroom of the air plane to brush his teeth. He looked at his reflection and touched it and there was darkness everywhere. He woke up and to his surprise he was in a jungle , naked and alone and had shrunk in size. He made a fleece for himself by the silky floss. He also dug up a burrow for himself to live in. He ate seeds and drank dew. He got a fur blanket that day when he dug up the burrow and after that he got many surprises from an invisible friend. He got to know that it was a girl. He faced amny dangers like he was attacked by an ogre bird. He got to know after a long while that it was his own country and he was in a park near his home. one day when he was hurt two men and one old lady just his size took him to their cavern where he soon began to live. Cam was their leader who brought him to the cavern and the invisible friend was lorn. One day he said to the cavern people that he's going back to his home. No one agrees first but after that Zak,Cam and Nate agreed and they all started their journey to Robert's house. They faced many dangers but at last succeeded to reach their destination. Robert made a picture out of marigold and pink flowers to attract Emma who screams and brings the big Robert. They both touched each others hands and finally the small Robert was big. Now Robert told hos whole story to Emma and they both decide to go and give food to the cavern people every week so that they can live this winter and had decided to give them food every week.
