In Act 4, Macbeth's attitude towards the witches is one of desperation and dependence. He seeks them out for reassurance and guidance because he has become increasingly paranoid and fearful of losing his power. Macbeth's willingness to consult the witches again demonstrates his deepening descent into madness and moral decay.
He wants more information at any price. The visit of Banquo's ghost has unnerved him, and he feels that the more he knows the better equipped he will be to deal with the future. Unfortunately the only knowledge which would help him would be the knowledge of how to act morally, which knowledge he is steadily losing.
