The ending of "The Lay of the Werewolf" by Marie De France is bittersweet. While the werewolf is ultimately able to break the curse and regain his human form, the woman he loved is married to another man by the time he returns. The tale explores themes of love, betrayal, and the passage of time.
The Lay of the Werewolf is about a knight who is also a werewolf. His wife takes his clothes one day so he can no longer turn back into a human. The king of the land goes hunting one day and catches this werewolf. The werewolf is very tame. The king finds out that this werewolf is one of his knights and gets his clothes back so he can change back into a human.

No. War never has a happy ending. Unfortunately.
always depends of what happens in the movie (if i interprted your question correctly) if the ''infected'' got the mark of a werewolf (kind of sign on their body that show that they are one) maybe after killing the original werwolf (they always do that...why don't you just stay a werewolf and go kill some innocent peopel in the streets? xD) they still have the sign on them and the director shows that right before the ending of the movie. That's my opinion there is probably many other ones, i hope this answer fits what you were expeting for :)
