No, it was an accident. Daisy was confused and furious about what had happened in the hotel, so she decided to drive to calm her nerves. Myrtle ran into the road thinking that Tom was still in that car. Daisy had no idea who Myrtle was she tried to swerve, but there was a car in the other lane so she had to swerve back and hit Myrtle.

Well, the interpretation of the entire accident can be several things. One interpretation could be that Daisy did not know who Myrtle even was; therefore she could not have wanted to kill her since she didn't even know who she was. Another interpretation could be that she was merely drunk and hit Myrtle because of her inability to drive. (This final interpretation may be shot down but it is a belief of mine)

She may have killed Myrtle in order to kill her alter ego. This means she may have killed Myrtle in order to "kill" off the affair she was having with Gatsby.

In F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby," it is not Daisy Buchanan but rather Jay Gatsby who takes the blame for Myrtle Wilson's death, as he was the one driving the car that struck her. Daisy knew the truth but chose not to confess or take responsibility for the accident.
