Why do some women work for men and let them treat them like dirt?

because, usually that "man" has some kind of authority and the power to keep these women working or not...It all can be linked to how desperate the women are to keep a job. Most women would be more willing to leave her job, than to cause friction in the workplace due to her confronting the men she works for.
