Why do boys have to be mean?

because most boys never learned how to properly treat girls/women. and even if they have they don't know how to use what they've been taught.

plus we often take signs from things that are of no significance. and we all want different things and boys get confused throughout life. heck, some of us don't even know what we want, DarkFoxy: Not all boys are cruel. But yes some of them can be a little annoying and stupid. Besides the point I think everyone should be treated equal

SOMETIMES males are mean to females because they fancy the girl. if this is the case then the boy will only be joking with you thinking he is funny but does not realise it is actually hurting you.

Because they were born that way!

They are horrible sometimes but in order to determine what causes them to be mean, I need to know what the boy did!

It could mean that he likes you and has a very strange way of showing it(shy/never had a proper girlfriend), or he could be generally sexest :/
