Why Did your mother dress you as a girl?

This is a rather complex question, and there could be numerous reasons for this. The mother may have wanted a daughter, and is trying to "substitute" the son for a girl. Or she may have anger management problems, and is using this as a form of punishment, trying to humiliate the boy. If you know of a mother who is doing this to her son, please, please, report her to the Child Protective Services, because this IS abuse. Do not allow this little boy to continue to be subjected to this treatment; it can cause him to have serious and permanent emotional damage. You do not have to give your name when you report the mother; you can do it completely annonymously. If we, the adults, don't do every thing we can to help innocent children, then we are no better than the ones abusing them.

ANSWER Nonsense-it is normal for mothers to experiment with dressing their sons in girls clothing. My mom and I had girl dress up days for years from like age 5 to age 13 and this was back in the late 1950's early 1960's. Then by age 13 I was dressing everyday after school and on weekends and summers. We would get dress to the "T's" and go do something fun. When I got older we would dress alike and go to the salon and get our hair done and nails done. It was the most fun in my life. At age13 she took me (dressed up of course) to buy my first bra just like she would her daughter and my first "silky" panties-although they were actually nylon not silk and the most wonderful thing in life my first 2 full crinoline (silky petticoat) one white and one light pink and a white soft chiffon one. Not the rough net kind but the nice stiff but silky and slippery kind that felt so wonderful against my legs and made my skirts and dress stand out so full just like the other girls. I remembner going out with her and wearing all three at once and she would laugh and say I had the fullest dress inn town. (girl did that back in those days). At age 15 I was developing breasts and wide hips and a butt like the girls and though that Iwas suppose to be a girl or I would not have developed this. I asked my mom and she said that it must be for a reason I remember we went to a formal party and she bought me the most beautiful party dress with yards of soft petticoats and my first garter belt and stockings (remember this was the 1960's no pantihose yet) and my first 3 inch high heels. Gosh I remember loving it so much and never wanting that night to end. At 16 my first sheer babydoll PJ's with matching sheer panties. I liked school well enough but could not wait to get home I was embarrassed becasue I looked more like a girl dressed like a boy and never took PE. I went home to dress up as a girl which became and everyday occurance and all days on Saturday and Sunday and holidays and I loved summer when I was a girl for close to 3 months 24/7. By this time I was wearing a camisole and panties under my boys clothing at school but changed into my dresses as soon as I got home and then did my homework and chores. At 18 I decided to live fulltime as a girl and start hormones although I did not know my mom was giving me estrogen from age 13 (why the female body development and girls voice) and said it was for my tyroid so I never grew very tall, 5'6" and never did get much body hair. MY mom and I had a great relationship and still do though she is in her 80's.

Presumably you are a boy.

Some mothers have already bought all the girl's clothes and think it doesn't matter much when you are a baby. And it probably doesn't.

If she was still doing it as you were growing up, it may be that she was hoping for a girl and has never really given up that hope.

If you are grown now, and still wear women's clothes, it is not normal, but it is not unusual either. A lot of people do it. Many more women wear men's clothes without it being commented on.

My Mom wanted to make me into a mama's boy so I would take care of her when she was older. It worked well, and I'm glad she did it. I got to wear nice things and be with her.

Either they have wanted a daughter. Or to punish the boy. It also could be mental problems, or just for fun
