- It is a wise person who holds dear to them a quiet friend because it is often the case that the quiet friend that may say little is the one that is there for you 100% when you need someone the most. Instead of tossing your quiet friend away like so much garbage sit down and try communicating how you feel about them being so quiet before thinking of getting rid of them. In life it is not often the talkers (chatty Cathys) that are your true friends, but the ones that sit back quietly and observe.
