well i have a brother and i no he do dont like to be smothered by girls, even though most boys probably love the typical girl, everyone knows the plastics and probably 80% of boys love them fallin by there feet. but prove that your different from other girls, make yourself stand out from the rest but not from a loud weird way. have a nice different dress sense and talk about what you two have in common ie. if you both like drawing or football talk about it and maybe share your artwork with each other. dont flirt immensly just a have a nice casual convosation. also i have heard from alot of boys that they do not like the fact that girls put on an incrediable amount of makeup, straighten there hair and always care what they look like (vein), so not up your self. and lastly show that your a real person, not one of them freaks who are constantly on diets and pretending to be someone your not. so hopefully form my advice someone whos sensible, kind and different from the average boy will like you
