AnswerThe only reason I see why you would want out of this affair is because the other person is married or you are. The only way to do it is to talk to the person you are having an affair with and then walk away. It's painful, but it's obvious you know it's wrong or it just isn't going to work. AnswerI think it is awful if you are the other woman\man all I have to say is PUT YOURSELF in their shoes! Karma... remember that what comes around goes around it will come back to you two fold and then some!! You are not hurting only yourself, but in most cases an entire family think about it long and hard and how you would feel if it happened to you or your family, sisters, parents, friends or your children.... what is the "cheater " considered. And the other woman..or man who is cheating with the married person, with having full knowledge of their marriage. not a very pretty picture! find some one single . stay away from married men, and women ! have respect for yourself and your family! It is so sickening thinking a person having full knowledge of the other being married and continue to see a married lover, you will get yours someday if you continue.

It is so easy to say that it is wrong to have an affair...however, until you have walked a mile in that person's shoes and know their motivation, their feelings, the reason why they would even consider such a thing, karmic threats are not quite in order. I've seen it happen to several 'good' people I know. In one case, after 10 years of being in a loving yet completely sexless marriage, a man steps out looking for the emotional attention that has been lacking for so long - he feels complete - and both women know about the other. In another, a wife cheated repeatedly on a husband, he would not leave because he did not want to chance loosing his children - after many agonizing years of watching her run around on him, he finally found someone that understood his circumstances and provided him the companionship he needed - it eventually turned into love and when the children we adults, he married her. And then there is the flipside - a woman that was married to a man because everyone thought she should (as they had a baby) - resented her every day for it and it eventually got to the point where he was downright nasty on a daily basis - she met someone that really cared about her and her children and took the time to prove it by waiting for her to be ready for him - she divorced and is now happy remarried to the man that waited for her to make the move. But to the point of the original question - breaking away from ANYONE that you love is difficult. However, it is a little easier in an affair as there are a myriad of circumstances surrounding the two of you that lend themselves to gently backing away. Become friends. If they really want to be with you they will find a way to do it in a manner in which you feel comfortable. Now, if the person does not really love you in return and is just using you as something to pass the time - well you're deserve better than that, right? Just walk away saying, I care for you but I care for myself a bit more.

Just tell your mistress that you both need to stop, before it gets worst. But if you are the mistress, just say no and move on..

Maybe you shouldn't have started the affair in the first place, but tell him/her that you're moving on or something like that. But be nice about it or they could stab you in the back
