Most Amish don't use technology. They see it as a distraction, and they have other religious views about it. Each Amish community has a sort of "rulebook" called an Ordnung that is different for each community- for example, one community might be allowed to have a telephone for the entire community, and for another it wouldn't be so. Also, a lot (NOT ALL) Amish people don't feel comfortable with associating themselves with non-Amish peoples and/or don't feel a need to explain themselves. Some people were Amish when they were younger, though, and have "converted" to a non-Amish lifestyle, so don't be surprised to see answers from once-Amish people.
AFRICAN PEOPLE USUALLY SHAKE HANDS AND SNAP FINGERS WITH ONE ANOTHER WHILE YELLING OUT THEIR NAME.
Amish kids get out of school earlier then Naugatuck people is because Amish people have gardens they have to take care of and Naugatuck does not. Amish people also get out earlier is because people plant gardens and the extra good people get to help and people who are bad in school get sold Another answer: All states have an age when children may leave school. That is the age when Amish children drop out of school. In this state it is 16. Frequently Amish children do not start school in First Grade until they are 7. The Amish value work done with ones hands more than work done with a pencil and a piece of paper. They learn carpentry and other useful manual skills. Today when a college diploma means that a person is unemployed and one hundred thousand dollars in debt. His Amish neighbor is adding to his house.

They are very community minded (Amish community). They help each other with many things, like farming and building their houses. If disaster or illness trikes one of the families, the community pitches in to help out.
There is no "typical", but common greetings are: * "Good morning" * "Hello" * "G'day"
If you are a Saudi in the USA you will probably say "Good Morning" but in Saudi Arabia people greet one another by saying "Peace be upon you" or Assalam alaikum.
In the UK we usually shake hands for guys and hugs for girls, possibly with a kiss on the cheek but not always. It varies, accompanied by something along the lines of 'Hi nice to meet you.....'
I live in the midst of Amish country in the Lancaster, PA area. The farm across the road from us is Amish and we talk to them almost weekly. Also had work done by Amish contractors. We find them totally non-judgemental and we respect their way of life as do most of us "English" people in this area. To tourists the Amish or Mennonites may look odd, because they dress different, but the local people don't notice.
No. The Amish live without modern conveniences, because they believe modern conveniences take away from there concentration on the bible and serving God. In fact one of the mottos of the Old Order Amish is that, the harder life is on Earth the sweeter it will be in heaven. So, no, but i have heard Amish people call antennas on TV's Satan's tail and the cable box his tongue. Hope the answer helped.
