Some say that humor is the best medicine. Maybe rent a funny comedy movie so your friend can laugh themselves out of their depression.
Hey! I just had a couple of suggestions, and I also agree with Natural Val. Humor can help, just as well as giving him/her space if they need it. They will love you for not being too intruding. Also, don't pry for information on why they are depressed, because they might feel you want to know things they don't want to tell. Let them open up on their own time, and to add to the comedy Natural Val suggested, throw in some buttery popcorn!!! Hope this helped.
If you are around a depressed person for too long, it might catch on. just try to cheer your friend up and talk to them about whats making them depressed. try to help them & make sure they know you will always be there for them.
cheer up thats all
Saranghae chinguyah~
He could be oblivious or not care.
give her some time or cheer her up
You can cheer up someone by randomly saying a joke around. You could also participate in a dance together.
you should take them out or invite them round and have fun to take their mind off things try your hardest to cheer them up; and try to talk to them to find out what's up! let them know you will always be there for them i hope they are ok :)
you try to cheer them up by letting them know that you are there for them for support and you nned to tell them that they need to look at the brighter side of life.
I think you need to realize that your friend might not want to be "cheered up" right now. Death is something that has to be emotionally dealt with when it happens or it can affect the rest of your life. It might help to give him space or a better perspective though to help him cope. I would try and point out that his friend would likely want to see him celebrate his life rather than be depressed, or that for all we know he is in a better place, whether you're religious or not, the truth is we don't know. And if there is no afterlife, then he is at peace. You can also make him commit to live the best life he can on his friend's behalf to make it feel like his death can actually mean something. Whatever your style, help him deal with it rather than try to cheer him up.

just life Answer They are either trying to cheer you up or, for some reason, they like the fact that you are depressed. And yes, there are times when people take pleasure in the fact that someone close to them is depressed. Sad, but true.
By being there. Your friend probably just needs somebody to listen to them and not try to judge or "fix" things or anything else. Just let them vent and get it out of their system.
