Often teenagers can speak perfect English, but sometimes use words such as 'ain't'; 'my man'; 'my woman'; etc., and this is often frustrating to a parent or other adults and the parents especially may correct that teenager because they know their child is more intelligent than that. It is in the way an adult talks to a teenager that is most important ... not talking down to the teenager, but speaking to them as an adult while getting their point across to the teenager and it a wise teenager that listens to good advice.
