Your muscles will get weaker and you will tend to gain weight. You will fall out of shape and may develop a lot of fat around your neck and stomach especially. You will also become more prone to depression and have a less effective immune system.

Depends on your overall lifestyle.

What counts the most isn't if you do dedicated exercise or not, but how active you are. If you have a job that keeps you on your feet and active for most of the day, that can be enough to keep you healthy.

If you have hobbies that keeps you active, like dancing, riding, maybe dogs that need long walks every day, that can do too.

But if you never get a bit sweaty and winded your body will adapt to this low level of activity. You will lose your health margins, be more prone to become overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and plenty of other things that will have a negative impact on your health.

Following are some possible effects of not taking part in sports:

  • It leaves you more time to develop your intellect.
  • Families can spend more time together especially on holidays when they often need to split up to attend children's games.
  • You don't incur injuries that may cause trouble later in life, especially brain injuries.
  • You may develop a broader world view and meet more varied kinds of people.
  • Your development as a well rounded person won't be hampered by your devotion to sports.

What happens if you dont eat enough energy?

You will obviously have less energy. I have experimented the effects of eating and not eating before exercise. I concluded that when I have something to eat before exercise (not necessarily right before exercise) I am able to run for a longer period than when I do not consume anything.

What happens if you exercise but don't eat healthy foods?

Exercise is always good for you but why are you not eating healthy foods? If you know you are not doing so, then why dont you look into how to improve your diet as you do into exercising your body. You dont have to eat hamburgers with mayo, sauce and cheese every day if you know better. Have a good bowl of cereal for breakfast, a salad for lunch and a supper with veggies and lean meat. What happens is that you can exercise but not give your body enough good nutrients to keep you healthy. There are enough sites, on line, that can guide you in the right direction. Keep you heart and arteries in good shape and, with the exercise, you will feel better and live a better life.
