yes can
Only if it has a completely different gearbox (with overdrive) fitted. You would then have to find an engine to fit the gearbox. You may have problems fitting this into the bodyshell, so I suggest you source a secondhand body from a car that will fit the engine and gearbox. Maybe you could fit the body from the car you took the engine and gearbox out of? Then all you need is an interior, driveshafts, brakes, wheels etc. and the job is done!
yes it can but the gearbox is very tight in the tunnel
The mountings on the top will differ. It should fit the engine ok, but you will need to fabricate a new cradle to match the car's gearbox mounting position.
The gearbox will physically fit, you need to change the clutch to a push type clutch however. If we are talking 5 speed gearboxes.
YOU NEED TO HAVE BELL HOUSING FROM CORTINA IF IT FITS GEARBOX IT WILL FIT IN TO CORTINA IM ASSUMING THAT THE CORTINA IS A MK11 IT ALSO HAS TO BE OF SAME YEAR. ALSO CHECK RATIO OF GEARBOX YOU WILL HAVE TO USE THE GEAR STICK FROM GEARBOX AS THEY ARE DIFFERANT THREADS HOPE THIS IS OF HELP KIFF which model of escort? which model of cortina? If the engine is the kent crossflow type in both vehicles then the gearbox will fit either engine
Yes, albeit new engine and gearbox mounting need to be fabricated.
M5 V8? or V10...
No its different
f18 f25 and f23 with linkage modifications
no, you have to fit a turbo box to a turbo engine, a 1.9el box will not fit a 1.9 turbo engine, it has to be a turbo box to engine, notting else will fit, hope tis helps
You may have to relocate the engine and gearbox mounts but with a little patience I did.
