Lack of coolant, bad water pump, bad ignition timing, and the most common on this cars is the fan's clutch not receiving activation. due to a bad Temperature Sensor for the Electric Fan Clutch or cables becoming unplug
this is simple to check.:
(1)The fan should have a fast spin if it looks like it not or not sure use a piece of cardboard
and lightly press against the fan if it stops than the fan clutch is bad or it became unpluged. (if it doesn't stop check coolannt, level and you may need to replace water pump. If car is running ruff check ignition timing)
(2)Now turn of engine and right behind the fan there feel with your hands for a cable connector and press it in to make certain its connected. start car and do step one.
(3) if it still stops trace the wires up one will ground the other goes to a second connector found below the air filter make shure is connected, if it is then, now disconect and run a test wire (speaker wire or any cable) from the battery to the cable you just diconected coming from the fan.
(4) You will hear the fan engage, now start the engine and now you should see your fan spin as it should.
Connect back the cable and replace the Temperature Sensor Electric Fan Clutch
