The SLR was intended to be a very limited run series of cars....and there were some other factors why MB decided not to continue the line.
The expense of the car, which had climbed to more than $600,000.00 in most places...the maintenance of the car became insane...a brake job alone would cost over $22,000.00....ceramic brakes are very expensive. An oil change/service could only be done by a certified MB mechanic and that would cost around $3,000.00. As a matter of fact, if the mechanic wasn't certified, he couldn't drive the car. And, this car became a headache to most of its owners...this is basically a race car with a license plate, and a high maintenance car. McLaren made this car for MB, and MB is not one company that lets someone else control their products...which is probably why MB bought AMG a while back.
Essentially, the SLR is not going to be known as a must have for collectors...just like the Bugatti Veyron...they're not very good cars in the long run...but they do look good.
SLR is a corporation between McLaren and Mercedes-Benz, it is just as much a McLaren as it is a Mercedes.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was created in 2003.
Actually Mclaren own Mercedes...

No. I think it is part of Mercedes-Benz.
A Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren is a premium and relatively rare automobile. The first place one should look would be the local Mercedes Benz dealer. If they did not have one on their lot, they would likely be able to inform one where to find the SLR McLaren for sale.
