Fuses for the indicators are in a panel on end of dashboard by drivers door.
Most likely it indicates transmission problems. The up-arrow indicator has multiple functions, and it also serves as the trouble indicator for the transmission. It may be something as simple as transmission overheating -- let it cool down for 2-3 hours, make sure the transmission fluid level is within limits, and try again.
i'm assuming your talking about an automatic transmission? if so, you may have a tourque convertor issue.

put the indicator lights on (either left or right) and turn the hazard lights on and off repeatedly they should both work now if the problem was not fuse related
It means you need to replace the PNP valve (otherwise known as the gear positioning switch) then you need to reset the computer
