The boxster comes with a 4 digit radio code card in the owners manual. After a while, these cards are often lost. The Porsche Approved dealer may or may not charge you to recover your radio code (especially if you are a frequent customer). As an alternative, you may just need to recover the radio's serial number to decode the 4 digit radio key. The full process and decoder is available here: http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/porsche/
