Very often there is a label on the floor of the trunk, underneath the carpet, that gives all of the option codes for the car as well as the interior color code and the paint color code. Some years there was a sticker inside one of the owner's manuals with some of the same information. If you can't find either, you might get more expert advice at tdiclub.com, even if your VW is not a TDI. You can take your chances with vwvortex.com too, but expect the intellectual and emotional age to be about one half of tdiclub's.
