Right hand side, next to where you pull the lever for opening the bonnet.
AnswerThe Bonnet is called the Hood in the U.S. Pull the lever inside the car, on drivers side. Then release the hood (bonnet) with the lever located in the front grille. If the level is slack - it points to a snapped bonnet release cable. To open the bonnet in this situation (on a Fiat Punto), you'll need to get under the car.I jacked up the car, placed it on a stand on the passenger side, and reached up underneath. I've videoed it - quick to do once you see it.http://bit.ly/Yh1dQ9TAG: Fiat Punto, Bonnet Cable, Snapped Bonnet Cable
Using a Long screwdriver and bright light, find the retaining spring through front grille and release it.

The latch release lever is on the driver's side on the floor next to the door. If the level is slack it points to a snapped bonnet release cable. To open the bonnet in this situation (on a Fiat Punto), you'll need to get under the car. Jack up the car, placed it on a stand on the passenger side, and reached up underneath. There is a screw on the hand brake handle inside the cabin. Just take off the leather that is covering your handbrake lever, and you will see it.
There is no point in doing that as the Fiat Bravo HGT has a Normally Aspirated engine ( no turbo)
Look directly below the steering column under the dash; there you will see a lever. Pull this lever towards you. You should hear the click as the hood lock disengages. Look into the driver's side foot well, there it is! Follow the above and then under the bonnet, from the center, lift and feel for the catch and switch to the left.
