Fuse Locations. See the following diagrams for fuse locations in 740/940 and some 760/all 960 cars:

Relay Locations. See Michael Ponte's excellent illustrations below to identify relays in 740/940 cars. To access relays, remove the snap-on cover over the cigarette lighter, then remove the two screws securing the storage box. Remove the box and you will see the relay tray behind the fuses.
In 960 cars, the relays are in the same location but mounted on a vertical relay board.
Relay Identification in UK 760 Model. [Query] I need the relay identification on the relays which are located on the side of the transmission tunnel under the plastic panel in the passenger footwell compartment. These relays are labeled A,B,C,D,E,etc. No disrespect ,but please do not refer to the ones in the compartment behind the ashtray because I do not have that model. [Response: Steve] In my 1990 760gle United Kingdom model the relays are A: main lighting(part); B: motronic/jetronic relay; C: central locking relay; D: foglamp relay; E: main lighting relay(part); F: bulb failure warning relay (front); G: overdrive relay; J: power boost relay; K: rear wiper delay relay; L:windscreenwiper delay relay; M: seat belt warning relay. A, B, F, J, L, and M are permanently attached to the board.
In 92-94 US spec 960s, the flasher relay is built into the hazard light switch in the dash. I would assume this would be the same in all markets, but that may not be the case.
I would like to install a timing belt on my 93 960 volvo / how do I line up the cams with the crank shaft???
It's located behind the ash tray in the fuse box.
the hazard light flasher relay is bad
The voltage regulator is in the alternator, referred to as an "internal voltage regulator." It's integral with the brush pack and is replaceable.
On my '93 940T, the flasher projects from the left side of the steering column (between the blinker lever and the steering wheel). You push it in to turn the hazards on, at which point the flasher button blinks red too.
Hi,30,000 up to 1993,40,000 93 on. On US market 960s from 1995 on, the service interval for the timing belt is 70k.
I have a 93 and the signal relay is on the passenger side beneath the glove box. You can reach it by pulling the plastic panel out so that you can see and replace the flasher.
The Flasher Relay is located: Front seating area, driver side, behind dash, driver side of steering column, mounted above fuse panel.
Two separate circuits, check the fuses then check the signal flasher relay.
where is the horn relay on a 93 ranger
In the 93 Mark...the flasher relay is located behind the glove box compartment. Hopefully the locations haven't changed throughout the years...
It is on the driver's side, rear of the transmission. It has two wires going to it, that should be white though that is never a certainty.
