The fuel pump is located at the fuel tank. To access it you need to remove a metal cover containing the fuel tank and pump.
It is in the right rear near the tire.
sorta attached to the fuel tank. right rear of the car.
IIRC just remove fuse 37.
I'd go to http://www.clarks-garage.com/ I recently removed my fuel pump apparently for no good reason, and put it back.
Your 944 Surge because of a lack of fuel pressure on high speed, between 120km/h up to 215km/h. I replaced my fuel pump and problem solved.
As per the handbook it is 80 litres
It is likely that you have a bad camshaft and/or crankshaft reference sensor. Without the proper signal from both sensors, the computer will not power up the DME relay which results in no power to the ignition coil or the fuel pump relay. The two sensors are identical and are available from Paragon Products.
Its behind the rear wheel arch, gently jack up the car at the rear and the pump is located under the boot behind the wheel arch.
Relay is located under the bonnet in a fuse box at the scuttle pannel.
yes, it is just a safety issue to use the relay which will shut the pump in case the engine stops running because of an accident. Make sure you use a fused power source.
The DME relay is located under the bonnet in a fuse box below the windscreen.
