Behind the glove compartment!
where are all fuse and relays for electric fan on 1996 bmw 318 ti
not sure but check your fuse box. There are both fuses and relays there.
Check the fuses and relays and if that doesn't work check the wiring harness.
In the fuse box. Six of the relays are in two rows. Directly above it, under a long rectangular cap, is a row of three relays. The fuel pump is the one on the left.
The BMW 316 windshield wiper relay switch is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The wiper relay switch will be in the middle of the firewall, near the top.
remove complete glovebox assembly, looking straight inwards there will be electronics and relays, (looking straight inward) could possible be 4 relays, very left relay is fuel pump relay
I'm not sure if they have it, but they might. You might want to try bimmerdiy.com. I use them for my car and they seem to help me on alot of things.
Clean the fuses and fuse holders. Unplug / replug the relays at and near the fuse box. Swap around the identical relays at the fuse box (horn relay can usually be used). (Make sure the relays swapped are identical!) Might also be the trip computer/alarm. Try disconnecting the negative battery cable and re-connecting it to reset it. It can be bypassed if necessary (check the internet as to how)
relays are two type 1. Electromagnetic attraction relays. 2. Electromagnetic induction relays.
It is located under the hood of the driver's side outside of the main fuse box. Located under within the fuse box, are 3 relays.
Some are located in the e-box, which is under the hood on the drivers side up against the firewall, and others are located behind the passenger side glove box.
