Most sources from the MB forums and various consumer complaint websites seem to indicate the BD wiring used in 1993-1995 models. Though the C-class models seem to be the primary focus, I have found references to EVERY Benz model built during that period. Some complaints mentioned later models, but this usually relates to very high-heat areas like the wiring directly into the headlight housing or anything closer to an exhaust manifold. This may be more a result of heat than insulation compound and was remediated using fabric electrical tape, or sliding rubber shrink-tubing over these wires and reconnecting.
