The power steering fluid goes below the intake manifold in a 1992 BMW 325i. This is where the power steering reservoir is located.

driver's side of the motor, serviced from below the car.
The power steering fluid reservoir is located below the intake manifold.Your power steering reservoir is right next to the oil filter housing/container. And is clearly visible just by standing right in front of your car looking at the engine with the hood opened.Has a screw top that looks like a "star".It's black in color; about the size of a large can of Progresso Soup. It also may have words on it that says "ATF only" (Auto Transmission Fluid) - since the power steering system uses ATF.It has a built-in dipstick in the cap that lets you know the correct level of fluid.
I had the same question. The transmission fluid actually goes in the power steering reservoir. Kind of strange, but true. For the type of fluid you want to use, check your bell housing. There should be a sticker on it that says what to use.

The alternator on this car is at the front of the motor on the driver's side between the air intake and the engine, above the power steering pump.
idle control valve
Yes
It is just behind and below the air filter housing. The air fiter housing and air temperature sensor coolant lines do tend to get in the way. When I checked mine recently, I found it was easier to just remove the air filter housing.
