The 1600 cc Ford Escort firing order is 1-3-4-2
The order is 1243 I beg to differ:- I own a 1969 Cortina Gt 1600 engine - 2737E 6015B, fitted with Original 32DFM Weber.( and it still runs LEADED Fuel) Firing order is 1,4,3,2.
1-3-4-2
Firing order is 1-4-3-2
1243
1 4 3 2
I believe that is ( 1 - 2 - 4 - 3 ) for the Ford 1600 cc engine The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces AWAY from the engine
The firing order is 1-4-3-2. From looking at the motor, cylinder 1 is right rear, cylinder 2 is right front, cylinder 3 is left rear, and cylinder 4 is left front.
No. When the car was new it had a 1500cc engine. At your engine's first rebuild it was converted to a 1600.
Would a word picture suffice? Imagine standing over your engine, with the end that bolts to the transmission away from you. On the right side of the engine, at the transmission end, is cylinder 1. Cylinder 2 is behind it. On the left side of the engine at the transmission end is cylinder 3, with cylinder 4 behind it. Cylinder 1 fires. Then 4 Then 3 and finally 2
