First determine if it is, in fact, a bad fuel pump and that you just don't have a clogged fuel filter. If it is a dying pump you may get intermittent stalling of the engine especially when accelerating hard. If it has failed completely the engine will just quit and not run due to fuel starvation. Depending on the make/model of car the fuel pump may be located in the fuel tank - in-line with the fuel feed line, or somewhere in the engine compartment itself. Hope this helps.
Everything will shut down and the car will stop running.
Could be fuel pump or fuel pump relay.
the car won't start
The gas pedal doesn't feel any different when the fuel pump goes out. If your fuel pump goes out, you'll know because your car won't start and stay on for you.
The pump will be ruined and need to be replaced if the car was driven with a dry pump.
IT TURNS OVER BUT WONT FIRE
If the fuel pump is inoperative, the car will not start.
The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank.First check under the carpeting in the trunk to see if your car happens to have an access panel to get at it .If not, the tank will need to be dropped to change the pump.
check fuel pump
fuel pump may be bad...fuel fiter may be clogged...do you hear pump when u turn key over?
either your fuel pump is about to go out or you just have a noisy fuel pump but its because it is always pumping fuel when the car is running
Fill the tank up with just a few gallons and hope the fuel pump didnt burn out
