if the vehicle is running normally ,but only overheating when in clogged trafic many chances that the viscous fan is not working. (40 pound on e bay)

also this will cause the idle to drop when over 80 degrees and stall now and than. if ever throttle cable has been tensioned to cheat the low idle ,it will cause back pressure in the inlet manifold with idle jumping from 600 to 1000 when hot.

i did all these little adjustments to mine and it is now spot on.

stays at 70 degrees and up to max. 78 deg in heavy traffic.

also idle is perfect at around 700 rpm.

fuel consumption around 49mpg driving limo style.
