Hi, your oil might be too thin and because of engine age and wear, it might detect oil level is low. Try a thicker oil. It happened to me on my 1994 1,8 Golf with over 200.000 km. I talked to my mechanic, he changed the oil and the problem never came back. jprueda@gmail.com

temperature warning light
When mine flashes it means that the coolant level is low.
It's just a warning light that there may be icy conditions on the road.
On the Jetta, the dashboard warning light with a circle and a box above it is indicating that there is a problem with the battery. This light also indicates a burned out bulb in the headlamps, taillights, or blinkers.

Hand brake warning light
It responds to the door latch mechanism. If you trigger the latch the light buzzer, door lights e.t.c all respond.
Sorry- the actual buzzer- I'm not sure. But it may help that imo the correct term should be "TAIL Light Warning Buzzer" It's wired in with the TAIL lights. The headlights are on a different circuit so they will work fine.
