A car's heater works very much like the radiator at the front of the car, except there's a small radiator near the footwell. The warmth of the water running through the engine is radiated and a small fan blows the hot air throught the vent pipes and into the cabin and voila! Chances are the fan is not operable.
There is no heater blower is a Honda. The heat created on the air condition system is heated up through a heater core. If there is no heat coming out then the heater core will be the culprit.
If its the button below the heater dials then it is the air conditioning button. It's the only snow symbol in my 2002 Corsa.
check the thermostat dude may need replacing
The simple solution is to set your heater to recirculate so no new fresh air comes in. If it is coming in through the doors and such you may need to replace the seals.
Your heater core is leaking, Need to REPLACE HEATER CORE.
More than likely the heater core is leaking.
This happens because the heating wires heat up the air around them. This air is less denser than the surrounding, and so it rises up through the top of the heater. If the paper decorations are above the heater, they will definitely flutter because the air is coming through the top.
If a 2001 VW Beetle does not have hot air coming from the heater there is a problem with the vehicles heating system. The heater core is malfunctioning and will need to be replaced.
Check both the heater core as well as the heater hoses for leaks...........
Had similar problem on N reg Corsa 1.7D, until I changed the setting on the air circulation coming into the car via slide switch on dashnoard. Not sure whether yours is rotary or slide, but either way, set it on "fresh air" coming in from outside, NOT on recirculating air in car..You would be surprised!
just had an rac bloke come check my car which was actually overheting, but also suffering from no hot air coming through the heater when switched to hot. he found it to be the thermostat.
The heater may not be on - but the fan still blows air through the vents when they're open !
