theres a good chance its getting in the engine. I have the same issue on my 96 C220 (W202). Its been going on for a while and I just fill up the reservoir. Finally sent an oil sample to Blackstone labs for analysis and report indicated coolant in the oil. Good way to pin down the problem. I plan to replace head gasket.

What to running temperature or a w202?

The optimal running temperature for a W202 Mercedes-Benz is typically around 90-100 degrees Celsius (194-212 degrees Fahrenheit). It's important for the engine to reach this temperature to operate efficiently and maintain proper working conditions. If the temperature is consistently higher or lower, it may indicate a thermostat issue that needs to be addressed.

How fast is the Mercedes-Benz c280?

The Mercedes Benz C280 has a 6 cylinder engine that puts out 228hp and 218lb ft tq. Top speed is governed at 147mph. The W202 models from the late 90s put out 194hp and did 0-60 in just under 8 seconds. Their top speed was governed at 130mph, but I've seen people who had it removed and were able to reach 140+.

Where is the crank sensor in a Mercedes w202?

On a 1996 C 220 the crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the motor on the drivers side. On my vehicle it is pretty well hidden below a silver part that I am not sure what it is. I can see the bolt that removes the sensor and I have felt down and removed the connection but I still cannot get the sensor out yet. On all of the W202, the crank positioning sensor is located on the same spot. Sitting on the drivers seat, think about 10 o'clock on the engine. It is usually a tight spot to get your hands in there. You'll have to remove the top cover (snap off) and you should be able to spot it just before the joint between the engine and transmission. It is secured by one torx bolt and has one connector with either one or two securing tabs.

How many cylinders has the C280 engine?

6 cylinders. 228hp 219lb ft torque. The older ones (W202) had a straight or V 6 cylinder (depending on the year). The straight made 194hp and the V6 made 197hp. The V6 had slightly lower amount of torque.

If a diesel Mercedes c220 cdi w202 runs out of fuel do you have to pump fuel around the system to start it or can you just put fuel in the tank and it will start?

- The easiest way is to add few liters of diesel, press and hold fully accelerator pedal and try to start the engine. It should start within 10-20 sec. - More difficult way is - open fuel filter - fill the filter right up with fresh diesel. Try to start the engine. - Safe way - Call assistance and ask to remove air from fuel system ($$$) Be aware: Fuel pomp do not like to pomp air - $$$

Mercedes C200 Diesel W202 when you turn off the car it takes about 2 seconds before the engine stops It starts and run great just takes 2 seconds to turn off and engine vibrates when it does?

This is called dieseling. When you shut the engine off, it goes "Pocka, Pocka, Pocka" a few times and finally stalls. In an older, carbureted car with a gasoline engine, it is an indication of too low octane fuel being used, or too rich a mixture. In a newer, fuel injected car with a gasoline engine, oddly enough it is an indication of essentially the same thing. However, it often requires electronic adjustment of the fuel injection system or the vehicle's computer. With a diesel engine, it is actually very common (part of the reason it is called dieseling), it may require nothing more than a good quality injector cleaner. If you are not comfortable with DIY, take it to a local auto parts store such as AutoZone or Pep Boys and ask them to put the car on a tester. If there is anything wrong electronically, it will show and they can advise you of a good course of action.
