2003 Ford Explorer 4 door models do not have an automatic transmission dipstick , Ford has a way of checking from underneath the Explorer
Back passenger side of engine.
Starting in 2002 , the Ford Explorer 4 door doesn't have an automatic transmission dipstick
There is no transmission dipstick on automatic or manual transmission Passats. The automatic (tiptronic) transmissions have a "lifetime" fluid that can generally only be changed by the dealer.
According to the 2003 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON - V , automatic transmission fluid is used in the automatic transmissions with all engine sizes ) * the type used is indicated either on the automatic transmission fluid dipstick handle , or it is engraved into the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick *
Hi, simply add the oil using a funnel at the dipstick.
Usually through the dipstick tube - Do Not Overfill
Mine is a 2003 Disco TD5 with automatic transmission and it does NOT have a dipstick. There are two small stoppers/plugs on the transmission. One is for draining the oil (when changing it) and the other is to check the level. Good luck! Alex.
