Yes, as long as there is no noticeable change in engine noises or the way it drives. Your best bet is to take it to a certified shop to have it checked out, or to an auto parts store (ex. Autozone) where they can check it with an OBDI or OBDII code reader and be able to give you some direction (usually at no cost to you)
Over heating engine or engine check light ?
my car doing the same thing
The light is on because there is a fault somewher. To turn the light of you fix the fault.
No, have it looked at by a professional.
The engine light is essentially a warning indicator that something is wrong with the vehicle. Each engine light has it's own meaning and severity.
The engine diagnostics have detected a fault. Could just be a transient spike and mean nothing but best to get the dealership to check it.
There is no tire pressure warning manual reset for the Astra. Make sure that the tires are properly inflated, and let the engine run for about 10 minutes. If the system is working correctly, then it will reset itself.
Without know what the warning light say's, all I can tell you in Yellow means caution.
it just means it needs a service take it to the garage they will sort it for you
Hi I dont really understand the 1951 plate but I have a Astra 1998 station wagon 2.0l that may have the same prob. There is a yellow light which looks like an engine with a z in the middle. This is between the oil and batt warning light. The car still runs fine but a bit worried when this comes on as I dont Know what it means.
The light is illuminated because the ECU has picked up a fault on the engine management system, and has stored a fault code. You need to diagnose & rectify the fault for the light to be extinguished.
it is a warning light of course
