first: chock the front wheels, bit ov wood or brick will be fine, jack the back up n put it on axle stands, then take ya wheel off n release the handbrake.(tht is y u need axle stands incase it slips lil cud come off jack, ur risk) second: remove the to locating studs and pull the drum from the hub. if the drum wont pull off try twisting the hub n holdin the drum so the holes where the locatin pins where dont line up, so u can put the pins back in n when ya screw them it will push the drum off. hope this helps you cheers
Yes, a Fiat Punto has disc brakes at the front and these have pads. The drum brakes at the back have shoes.
what are the pins for on a wheel drum?
Fiat Punto was created in 1993.
The Fiat Punto is manufactured by the company Fiat. Fiat is an Italian manufacturing company. The manufacturing of the Fiat Punto started in 1993 and is still currently being produced.
Use hammer.

hi i think this is because the han brake is on
Fiat Punto 1.9l ltd service manual?
I have just changed the two handbrake cables on the back of a 1995 Fiat Punto and couldn't not have done this using the instructions in the Hayes manual. I seriously doubt if anybody can remove these cables from older vechicles, by only accessing the end of the cable that connects to the brake shoe, through the access bung on the back of the brake drum assembly. I had to remove the brake drum and remove the brake shoes. I then cut through the old cable and had to use a heafty thump to remove the cable grommets from the back of each brake drum. The other end of the cable is accessed from under the handbrake shroud. You remove both the left and right cable nipples from the beam attached to the back of the handbrake lever. The cables can then be removed from under the car but ONLY after you have removed the two litle "C" washers that fit into the grove on the cable grommet. Fiddly job but it can be done. My only problem now if getting the handbrake adjusted as I think the spring loaded mechanism on the back of the brake shoes has not "self adjusted" out so the calbe movement is not sufficient to activate the brake shoe sufficiwently enough to apply the brakes. That's the next job for this week end!!! I have never seen this Fiat forum before but have done quite a few MOT enforced jobs on my daughter's car. Will keep looking. Good luck
if its on a punto gt is a lot of work.have to remove inlet manifold costs a lots for the job to be done in a garage.
open the door then drive into it with another car and it should remove it safely if not just use a hammer
