Usually every Hyundai Elantra will have a button you can push for the gas tank. However, if it won't open, there is a spot in the trunk for a wire and you can disconnect it so you will be able to manually open it
You open it like any other lid. If it is a trouble try using a wrench.
The boot lid is held open by the gas struts. One or both of yours is faulty.
The remote gas tank lid opener is located inside the car on the left side of the driver seat. It should be marked w/ the gas tank picture on it. Lift up to open the gas tank lid.
Some cars have an auxilary release lever/wire located in the trunk. Short of that, you may be able to locate the activation line from underneath the release lever housing and pull it manually.
Under the Driver door handle you'll find two controls: one for the trunk door and one for the gas lid. HJP
