Under the bonnet there is a cap with an orange handle sticking out of it, unscrew it and pull it with the dipstick out, fill up roughly a glassfull then slide the dipstick and cap back in and screw shut.
To check the level of the oil, pull the dipstick out using it's orange handle, wipe it down with a rag, put it back in for five seconds then pull it out again and check if the oil is above the two notches on the end of it, if it is then it should be fine, if it isn't then top it up.
The gearbox oil fill plug can be located, in your Peugeot 306 2.0, on the top of the gearbox nears the back. The plug can be removed with a three-quarter inch socket

the only way 2 take the engine out of a 306 diesel is out through the bottom as the lower pully for the fan belt will stop the engine coming up the hole way take it out complete with the gearbox its quicker and easer
probably located on top of the gear box
probably located on top of the gear box
On a 307sw THERE IS A RUBBER BULB AT THE BACK OF THE ENGINE( REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER ON TOP OF THE ENGINE FIRST BY LIFTING UPWARDS ) SQUEEZE THIS SEVERAL TIMES TO BRING THE FUEL THROUGH TO THE ENGINE.
Correct coolant level for the 306 is about 4 inches below the top of the radiator. If it is filled any higher the car will blow out the excess DO NOT OVERFILL
On the peugeot 106 there is an oil cap on the top of the engine, note don't forget to check the level after you have put some in otherwise you could over fill it. HKP
