My vectra is a 1999 S plate and has a factory fitted immobilizer, I think that alarm/ immobilisers were fitted as standard the year after mine.
open bonnet and alarm horn is on top rite below black perforated cover. if you unplug it it will still sounds the alarm siren
It allows you to sit in the car with doors locked and stops the alarm going off while still in the vehicle
yes yes
if the alarm goes off and the electrics on the key wont stop it - don't panic at the racket - but simply use the key and manually unlock the Vectra - then put key straight into ignition; alarm may stop at this point but if not then take tyhe last step needed to 'cut it' and merely turn on the ignition/start the car with the actual cut key.
take the thug approach and rip the door off
do you need a C10 license to test fire alarm systems in public schools.
During maintenance following test to be done : transformer oil test ht / lv side insulation test also hv to lt oil temperature trip / alarm winding temperature trip / alarm bukkhoze relay trip / alarm PRV setting to ok MOG trip / alarm etc.
once a month
the LED with a man running away from 3 curves lines lights up when the alarm is ON press this button if you leave any pets in the car and it disables the interior alarm sensors :)
vectra b is the earlier engine
I had a similar problem with my 1998 VECTRA CD. I did the paper clip test which gave me a code number for the cam shaft sensor' 18 pound from LMF Vauxhall . BEST OF LUCK MIKE
