The 997 wasn't available in 2000. That model came out in 2005. The Porsche 911 model in 2000 was the 996. The turbo would have been $114,000 to $130,000, depending on options.
997 stands for the generation of the porsche, not the model. it could be 911 turbo, 911 gt2, 911 carrera, how would i know, but here is some facts. Fastest 997: 911 GT2 (340 km/h)(210 MPH) Most popular 997: 911 Turbo (310 km/h)(190 MPH)
Some may recommend disconnecting the car's battery, but it is not necessary. There is a small hole on the underside of the steering wheel.Take a flat head screw driver and insert it with the flat part facing left/right. Not front/back, or toward you.If done properly, you will push a wire up, which releases the face of the steering wheel/air bag.Sometimes only one side is released. Push it back in, and try again if it both sides don't pop out.Don't strain the wires behind.Carefully lift the face/airbag out of the way, and disconnect wires.
