follow the radiator hose that goes to the motor, the thermostat housing is the thing the hose is hooked to and it is bolted to the motor with three bolt i believe. you take the hose off, the housing off and just take the old thermostat out and put the new one in.
ok you look on the front of the block....take the thermostat cover off..then take the old one out and put the new one in and put the cover back on.....
Take off the thermostat housing which is located right where the top radiator hose clamps to the motor. thermostat will come right out. be sure to install the new one in the same way you take the old one out.

Replacing the thermostat in a 2000 Honda CR V is very simple. The thermostat is on the right hand side of the engine. The radiator hose will need to be disconnected before the thermostat can be taken off. After the hose is off, remove the bolts holding the thermostat housing in place. Take the old thermostat out and replace with a new one.

Installing a thermostat on a 1992 Chevrolet Corsica is very easy to do. First, follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat. Then, you will disconnect the hose and drain it. You first have to remove your air filter housing in order to get to your thermostat. Once you have done that you should be able to look down and it should be right beside and below the intake manifold you have two bolts one you can visibly see and the other directly across form but on the other side of the thermostat housing. Once you take of those two bolts the thermostat housing should come off. Then there is your thermostat. you may need to take a small hammer or something to hit with to take out the old thermostat with just in case it is hard to take off by hand and there you go you have cahnged your thermostat.

Follow the lower hose from rediator to engine. The hose is connected to the thermostat at the engine. Remove the hose,(collect fluid) take out the two bolts, remove the thermostat and clean the old gasket off the engine. Use blue gasket seal and install the new thermostat.
