The Peugeot 406 Rapier Estate inertia switch is located between the brake master cylinder and the upper left suspension mount. This is the same as the Fuel Supply cut-off.
take the boult off the bouttom of it
It is next to the right suspension mount under the bonnet. It is a black pump looking item
Remove driveshaft nut,remove kingpin grease cap and remove 17mm nut.Lever down kingpin from upper arm and remove driveshaft from hub.Hammer c.v. joint off shaft( inner circlip).
£80 max if you pay more than that you are getting ripped off
Mark driveshaft and yoke to re-isntall in same location to maintain factory balance Loosen and remove small "U" clamps at yoke end of driveshaft Pry driveshaft out of yoke Pull off of splined end
Mark driveshaft, yoke and splines so they are replaced at the same position to maintain factory balance. Remove small "u" bolts at yoke Pry driveshaft out of yoke and onto splines Drop driveshaft and slide off splines
you have to take the bumper off to get to all the bolts
Bad u-joints. Bent driveshaft, Weight that has come off of driveshaft. A bad dent in the driveshaft.
lokk guyz this is ez mode, take front brake off and put others in der u doned gg
just pull it off ..i just changed mine
they can be cleaned if taken off and washed and blown out but it is a dodgy practice if you dont know what youre doing. best take it to a qualified mechanic
