take the breather filter off and look down at the transmissionthe top starter bolt is right there
There is an Allen key bolt at the top of the clutch pedal.
On top of the rear differential. 1 bolt, and 2 wire plug.
It is held in place from behind with a long bolt. The easiest way to get to it is to remove the alternator. Remove the large top bracket that was holding the alternator. You can then reach the bolt with a ratchet and a deep well socket. Not difficult just a bit time consuming.
to remove top bolt you will need a long socket extension bar and a universal joint adaptor.it is a pain to get at but once you have done it it is not so hard in the future so socket to fit bolt,uni joint adaptor,extension bar then ratchet in that order and you will get it

Depends on the year. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. It will connect to the thermostat housing. The thermostat sits inside the housing.

The bottom bolt is a 10mm x 1.5mm x 35mm metric flange bolt grade 8.8. This is on a 2002 Ford Excursion 7.3 4x4 Automatic. The top bolt could be the same, but I don't know as mine has fallen out. Hence the reason I came across this post.
