In reality, many fail long before that on this model due usually to waterpump failure and bearing seizure, which then causes the belt to fail. They are 3 (TO the best of my memory): Under the bonnet, near the battery. In the boot, on the left. In the end dash-board, on the passenger side accessed with the door open. RTFM!

It most likely has water in it. Change it.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 2005 Vectra. Remove the brake spring and break caliper from the brake pad assembly. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.
